What do they call that when you can’t think of what to write?

I seem to be blocking on it right now. Hmmm.

So I’ll go with this. One of my dear friends and I are starting to plan our annual fall getaway. It will once again be in Hilton Head. It will be warm there and our psyches will be set to return to the cold weather of October at vacation’s end.

We love spending hours in the resort pool, just floating around, sometimes pretending to do some water exercises, and doing a lot of talking. It’s almost like a therapy session, both for the body and the spirit. We sometimes discuss (especially the more we drink) (which really isn’t all that much) things from our pasts that have been pushed so far down in our lives, that, well, I guess we need the alcohol to find them. I hope we never give up our annual trips.

Besides the pool, we will be going back to one of our favorite restaurants on the Island. Alexander’s might cater to the over a certain age crowd by offering smaller plates off their regular menu and discounted drink until 5:45 pm. Of course, I’m going to have to double check on that time. Anyway, better Wiener schnitzel than we’ve had in actual German restaurants. Can you tell we’re looking forward to this?

Tomorrow, I hope to not have writer’s block, but actually, this turned out okay.
