I wrote that headline back in February, and unfortunately, I have no recollection of who was about to be given that award. No one is more disappointed than me.
So let’s just talk about this and that. I’ll start. So did anyone beside me feel uncomfortable watching the Bachelor finale? Okay, so Rachel had attended an antebellum dance while in college. We now know how upset that made the other Rachel, who wondered how would that antebellum dance fit into her live as a black woman, ancestor of black slaves who were still being used by southerners during the Antebellum era. I wonder if everyone at that dance were flitting about talking about how much they wished they could have lived during this period so they could have had slaves. It was probably more likely an event to show off your antebellum costume and get drunk like most college parties.
Oh, and let’s get rid of Chris Harrison.
However, I believe as long as we continue to blame half the country for something done by a relatively small portion of the country as we know it today, Blacks will never be able to take what is their “privilege,” living in the best country in the world.
Back to Matt James. It was painful watching him trying to make what could be the most difficult choice in his life up to now. He decided after much apparent agony, that he had to be one with the BLM agenda and say good bye to someone he supposedly loved. She didn’t understand what it was like for him to be a black man. This is sort of the problem with relationships. Men don’t understand women. Women don’t understand men. Men don’t understand men. Women don’t understand women., etc., and so on and so forth. If you’re in a relationship with someone you care about you will try to put the work in to find some understanding, some common ground. Judging from his agonization, I would say (and this is my truth, which used to be called an opinion) that Matt did not love Rachel, could never understand why a woman could go to an antebellum party, and thereby chose himself over her.
So before I leave to start making popcorn for my lunch, let me say another one of my truths. I believe BLM is doing exactly what Lyndon Baines Johnson did to Black Americans. He used them to get their votes by giving them programs that looked like they might fight poverty. Looked good. But maybe not so good in reality. Blacks, and white liberals are being used by BLM the same way they were used by LBJ. Only this time, their use is to hide the chaos that will lead to socialism/communism. I feel sorry for a race of people who up to this point have been so successful, accomplished in so many fields, fought hard for everything they have, who will be succumbing to high taxes, loss of jobs, etc, when the infra structure of the country goes to ruin.
At least I got to speak my truth.
