And Good Morning,
Thank God it’s Election Day. All this campaign nonsense will be over. Of course, the same stuff will continue no matter who wins, but I suppose it will be different stuff. Enough already.
It is a beautiful day here in the neighbourhood. A lot of people are out walking their dogs, more than usual it seems. In fact, I suspect all the Marmadukes, Spots, and Princesses will be getting extra walks today. We will not be getting many more of these days until, hmm, June. Haha.
I think the election is bothering me more than I let on. There was a time when it didn’t matter much who won the election, Democrats or Republicans, because everyone was still on the same ideological playing field. I’m afraid that isn’t the case. When one of the candidates for VP openly says that there will be more “peaceful protests,” and that there should be, well, is that good? Those peaceful protests came to my small town and shattered store windows, blocked traffic, and made nightly noise. Our stores continue to be boarded up though the windows have been replaced. I’m sure they’re waiting for Act II of the riots. Which will come after this election.
Anyway, it is a beautiful day and I am thankful for it.
That’s a rap!
